Narcolepsy ain't no thang

This is my sunbeam. It looked so much more rad in person, but you get the general idea.

The weather is starting to get colder and the other day it even snowed for all of 10 minutes. It was short-lived, but amazing none the less. Out at Breckinridge (ski resort) they have already quite a few snow days. You can actually go skiing, but rumor is the snow won't be very good for another 2 weeks. Soon though- very soon.

Last night some of my friends came over and Matt (the aspiring chef) cooked us dinner. Having a home cooked meal would be awesome enough, but it was also probably the best chicken I've ever had the pleasure of eating. Along with the chicken we had cheese and crackers and some champagne. But don't get too excited- mozzarella and saltines, and an $8 bottle of the worst champagne in Colorado (I'm guessing) - hardly sophisticated. Still, we had a good time and watched Thursday night football. It was a good time.

Work is going great! Being a bartender is pretty much the best job ever- finally a job where I'm supposed to stand around and talk! Love it. However, it does have a couple downsides. Every now and then you get the feeling that the guy sitting at the bar is there for some booze and a glance down your shirt. But yesterday I had an old guy flat out say he comes in to check out our cleavage and that he was glad they put me behind the bar. Ewww. And it's hard to be flattered when the guy is in his 70's and probably wears diapers. So gross.

But on the plus side you get to meet some pretty cool people. Another guy that came in yesterday was really nice and we talked for 30 minutes or so. He works at a salon down the street from the restaurant and told me to come in and he would hook me up with the "poor starving student" discount even though I informed him that I wasn't any of those things. Another guy, Reggie, comes in pretty regularly and always has a joke waiting for me. A couple days ago he told me that if I went back to school he would pay my tuition- it was a nice offer but one I could never in my life accept. The guy is made of money and just bought a $1.2 million home. Don't get any ideas like he is trying to be a sugar daddy, he just is a genuinly nice guy with no kids to spoil.

The tips still aren't what they could be- which is ok because I'm still having a lot of fun just mixing drinks and chatting with people.

Ahh, my home sweet home!
Lunch shifts are usually pretty slow at the bar but there are three TV's, all of which I am in complete control of, so I stay updated on my football and soccer. (And bad, made-for-tv movies).

After some minor convincing I decided to throw up the pictures of nasty toes. That's right my toes are naked, well two of them anyways. You can kind of see the new nail starting to grow, but it will still be awhile before I can wear flip flops out in public again.

Everything else is going pretty well. I had a soccer game on Wednesday; it was a really close game the whole time and we managed to pull out the win. Not to brag or anything, but I did have two really great saves.

Be back to update again in a week.
Love you guys!
